SAN FRANCISCO - A week after announcing its Digital-Sign-In-A-Box, MediaTile has signed an exclusive deal with Australian content provider World Wide Entertainment (WWE) to offer digital-signage network operators a full line of prepackaged video content.

Dubbed Turbo-Content, the product gives retailers and marketers a bank of around 30 vertical-based programs with which to launch their digital-signage networks. The Turbo-Content package includes WWE-produced themed video programming on extreme sports, entertainment, health, lifestyle, kids, science and technology, and more.

Keith Kelsen, president and CEO of MediaTile, said that Turbo-Content, which will be integrated into the Digital-Sign-In-A-Box application, would "dramatically simplify the creation of a narrowcast network".

“Turbo-Content is an instant content starter kit that delivers another breakthrough for any business facing the complexities of creating compelling and visually stimulating content for a digital-signage network,” he said.

MediaTile, which claims to be the first provider of cellular digital-signage networks, promotes its new ready-to-use service as a fast and cost-effective way to get in-store networks up and running, without the need for technical expertise.

Based in Victoria, Australia, WWE is a producer of video content for the digital-signage market, as well as for a number of other channels, including branded content, in-flight entertainment, and mobile phones.
